Three WWE Hall of Fame Predictions for 2023

It is time for more wrestlers from the 2000s to become inductees into the WWE Hall of Fame

With the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony approaching right before WrestleMania, there is much to unpack in deciding who should be some of the inductees. As time goes on, fans see wrestlers grow into legends. Although not everyone is considered, Hall of Fame material, it doesn’t mean that they don’t deserve to be inducted. Here are three inductees who should be part of the 2023 Hall of Fame.

Umaga

Coming from the legendary Anoai family, Umaga is a top candidate for the Hall of Fame. At first, he was known as Jamal, a member of 3 Minute Warning, alongside his late cousin, Rosey, and manager, Rico. As years went on, Umaga would reinvent himself as a monstrous heel with the nickname, The Samoan Bulldozer. Umaga was someone who wasn’t taken lightly. He would destroy everyone in his path. During his time in WWE, he defeated top-name wrestlers such as Ric Flair, John Cena, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, and Kane. Umaga proved his dominance later in his career when he defeated Jeff Hardy to win the Intercontinental Championship, his first and only championship gold.

Umaga has been dearly missed since his tragic passing in late 2009. Now his relatives, The Usos and Solo Sikoa (nephews), and Roman Reigns (cousin) are in WWE, and they always have Umaga in their hearts. Hopefully, if Umaga is inducted into the Hall of Fame, it’s The Bloodline that does the honors of inducting him at the ceremony.

Victoria

Similar to Umaga, Victoria was someone who made her start in the WWE with a different character. Victoria started with the WWE in 2000, as one of The Godfather’s managers. A couple of years later, she began her in-ring career on the main roster, where she quickly made a huge impact by defeating WWE’s top women’s wrestler, Trish Stratus to become the WWE Women’s Champion.

Victoria would also have a long tenure as she wrestled in the WWE for almost 10 years, before moving on to other endeavors. Her most recent appearance with the WWE was back in the 2021 Royal Rumble. Victoria is a remarkable female wrestler who was part of the beginning of one of WWE’s most memorable eras, “The Ruthless Aggression Era”. She was very respectful in the locker room and she always put over the younger talent, such as Mickie James, The Bella Twins, and Michelle McCool. She sure wasn’t a lady to be messed with and a Hall of Fame induction is well deserved.

William Regal

William Regal is a high-profile technical wrestler. As one of the most underrated wrestlers in professional wrestling, he has trained talent that went on to become huge names in the industry such as Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan), CM Punk, Jon Moxley (Dean Ambrose), and Claudio Castagnoli (Cesaro). He also influenced wrestlers such as Triple H, Fit Finlay, and Wade Barrett. Regal is a former Intercontinental Champion and Tag Team Champion. He is also one of the people instrumental to WWE’s current developmental center, NXT.

If there is a time to induct the technical grappler, now is the perfect time to do so. For a man who recently departed from AEW and is on his way back to the WWE, what better to welcome Mr. Regal back than to induct him into the Hall of Fame? With the speculation of Regal coming back to the WWE with a behind-the-scenes role, it would be interesting to see him and his son, Charlie Dempsey, who currently wrestles for NXT, together.
