Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat will return to the ring for Large Time Wrestling on Sunday 27 November, doing so alongside and reverse a handful of All Elite Wrestling stars.
It was introduced over the weekend that Steamboat will group with reigning AAA, ROH, and IWGP World Tag Staff Champions FTR in Raleigh, North Carolina. Managed by the legendary Arn Anderson, who has been with AEW since All Out 2019, Steamboat’s opponents can be Jay Deadly, Arn’s son, Brock, and a thriller competitor.
Steamboat’s return to the ring was announced in mid-September, although the precise bout wasn’t confirmed on the time. The wrestling legend, 69, hasn’t stepped by way of the ropes since June 2010, when he and son Richie united to face Trent Beretta and Caylen Croft in FCW.
The timing of Steamboat’s reemergence is fascinating, provided that he turned down the chance to take part in Ric Aptitude’s final match in July. Nonetheless, ‘The Dragon’ is again – and given Deadly’s efficiency was one of many few facets of Aptitude’s remaining bow to earn reputable acclaim, the previous ROH World Champion’s presence right here is not shocking.
One other AEW-adjacent bout is on the 27 November BTW card, as ROH mainstays The Briscoes meet the Rock ‘N’ Roll Specific.
